Student Voice
The Student Council demonstrates a clear formal channel through which the College can hear the voice of the students.
The Student Voice has 3 main areas:
- Developing 'Theme of the month' - selecting about 8 topics for the whole year which they feel the students need to discuss i.e. bullying and then produce materials that the attached prefect in KS3 or the tutors in KS4 can use to stimulate discussion, e.g. a piece of music, an image, a powerpoint etc...
- These discussions will then form the basis on the student council meetings which will be chaired by the senior prefects. The student voice team will need to action developments from the council meeting gaining student involvement and then ensure the attached tutor prefects feedback the developments. They need to understand that their ideas can be actioned and are heard.Notices - look at ways to have an electronic message board to take pressure from the tutors and improve communication.
