we have our Open Event coming up on March 29th 2023 17.00-20.00 should you have any students who are interested in a career in media and broadcast. This has been rescheduled due to the tutor strikes.

Part-time Courses for Adults

Please let your colleagues and parents know we are also enrolling for part-time courses for adults for those who are wanting to re-train, develop their career, or learn something new just for fun. Many courses are discounted or free for those on low income or benefits with many running during school hours or evenings.

Access to HE

For those wanting to go to university who didn’t quite get the grades – they can secure their entry by completing an Access to HE course which is the equivalent to three A Levels.

University Level Courses

We also offer a number of university level courses that could be suitable for former pupils, colleagues and parents – allowing them to study close to home for industry relevant qualifications. Courses are often part-time and can be studies alongside work and family commitments.

University of the Arts – Level 4 Courses (Free to 18 year olds*)

We offer two courses accredited by UAL, these provide the perfect foundation year to specialise at university, art or drama school.

Construction Apprenticeships with CITB National Construction College

Apprenticeships provide an opportunity to learn how to do a specific job...on-the-job. So what are you waiting for?
Do you want a career where the sky is the limit? Have a think about Steeplejacking
Or are you looking to get your hands dirty with Plant Mechanics training
Maybe driving machinery is more your thing and a Crane Operator role would work for you
You can train for these roles and many more, as a construction apprentice with the National Construction College.

CITB's National Construction College has been providing construction training for over 60 years and offers a selection of apprenticeships from:

  • Plant Operator/Mechanics

  • Scaffolding & Access

  • Roofing

If you have any students interested all they need to do is find an Employer who will support their apprenticeship.  To do this they can contact their local Job centre, Construction companies and search apprenticeships through the Talentview. Once they are employed training can be arranged at the National Construction College and they start an exciting career in Construction.
