PSHE E-Safety

In this digital age, technology is transforming the way that we teach and the way children learn. At home, technology is changing the way children develop socially, and expanding their access to the wider world. These technologies offer many exciting benefits and opportunities, but these can also present some risks. During ICT & Computing lessons, students learn about a wide range of aspects under the e-safety umbrella, including:

  • Personal safety:  cyberbullying; grooming; offensive content; sexting; and video game addiction.
  • Information security:  phishing; internet scams; digital footprint; hacking and malware.
  • Prevention:  securing information; online security; privacy protection; security software and location settings.

We recognise the importance of e-safety, and to ensure students at Chalfonts have the best advice available,  some members of the ICT & Computing department have completed training and become CEOP Ambassadors.
