Understanding Your UCAS Points

Your A-level grades translate into UCAS points, which are crucial for university applications. Here’s a quick guide:

What Happens Next? Your Pathways

If you've met your grade expectations:
Congratulations! Meeting those expected grades is a significant achievement. If you want to go on to university, here are your next steps:

  • Confirm your university place:
Check your UCAS Hub to see if your university place has been confirmed.

  • Prepare for enrolment:
Start preparing for university life by organising your university accommodation, finances, and necessary documentation.

What if your grades aren't what you expected and you need to go into Clearing?
If you don't get your grades or have changed your mind about your course, Clearing could be for you.

What is Clearing?
Clearing is a process that can match you with available university places after you receive your exam results. If you don't have a confirmed university place, you can search for courses that accept applications through Clearing, contact universities, and secure an offer.

Stay informed and ahead of the game
It's important to make informed decisions about your university journey, especially if you're worried that your A-level results and other qualifications might not be as expected.

Need to Discuss Your Results or Options?

Review of Marking & Results: An exams officer will be available on the day to discuss any queries you have regarding your results, including the process for a review of marking.
