In-Year Admissions

We are delighted that you are considering choosing The Chalfonts Community College for your child and hope that this website has given you an accurate understanding of the school and its many strengths and priorities.

Whether you are considering applying for a place at the start of Year 7 (secondary transfer), at any point after this (in-year admissions) or for the Sixth Form, we hope you will find all the information you need in the appropriate pages in this section.

We expect all students who attend The Chalfonts Community College to achieve their personal best at all times.

Sometimes learning is difficult and we remind students that they need to keep going and show resilience and perseverance in achieving their aspirational goals.  All the teachers and learning support assistants are here to help.

There are a wide range of clubs and activities on offer at The Chalfonts Community College and we expect that all students will take part in at least one additional activity.

Student leadership opportunities abound making an important contribution to our continuous improvement.  The student support system is excellent, each year having a Year Leader, a dedicated assistant Year Leader as well as a dedicated number of staff that support our students every day.

All students have a tutor who they stay with from Years 7 to 11 (unless of course there is a particular issue) and the Sixth Form has an experienced team of tutors who assist with university and work applications led by our very experienced Head of Sixth form, Mr Way.

The In-Year Admissions process is applicable to students who apply for a place at The Chalfonts Community College other than at Secondary Transfer. In-year admissions can only be made if places become available due to students leaving the school and the number for the year group falling below the admission number.

To apply for a place under the In-Year admissions process you will need to complete The Chalfonts Community College In-Year Application Form, which is available by e-mailing In-Year Admissions
