Enrichment Week 2026: Learning Beyond the Classroom

Enrichment Week once again provided our students with an incredible opportunity to step outside the classroom, try something new and create lasting memories with their friends.

Throughout the week, students took part in a huge variety of activities designed to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence. From international travel to hands-on challenges, there was something for everyone.

One group travelled to France, where they enjoyed an action-packed itinerary including visits to the spectacular Puy du Fou historical theme park and the futuristic attractions of Futuroscope. Closer to home, students embraced a wide range of exciting experiences, including fishing, golf, paintballing, go-karting and room escape challenges.

Back at school, our Science Department inspired students with interactive experiments, while others showcased their culinary talents during our very own Great British Bake Off challenge. Students also took part in dance challenges, Duke of Edinburgh taster sessions and an outdoor residential, where they developed teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills through a range of adventurous activities.

As part of the week, students also laced up their trainers for a Charity Fun Run/Walkathon, raising funds for Young Lives vs Cancer. It was fantastic to see so many students taking part and supporting such a worthwhile cause, demonstrating our school values of community and compassion.

Enrichment Week is about far more than trying new activities. It encourages students to build new friendships, strengthen existing ones, step outside their comfort zones and develop valuable life skills, while also giving back to the wider community.

A huge thank you goes to our dedicated staff for planning and delivering such a diverse programme of opportunities. Their enthusiasm and commitment ensured another memorable Enrichment Week for our students.
