Admissions for Sixth Form in 2026/27 Process
Current CCC Year 11 Students
- All current Year 11 students will be invited to attend our Sixth Form Taster Day on Thursday 26th February. This event is designed to give students a valuable insight into Sixth Form life, including the pace and structure of lessons, smaller class sizes, and the more specialist content taught at post-16 level.
- Even if Sixth Form at The Chalfonts is not a student’s first choice, attending the Taster Day offers an excellent opportunity to experience a wide range of subjects. This includes subjects that may be new at Sixth Form, such as Sociology, Psychology, or Law, as well as subjects that may be studied at college or through an apprenticeship route, including Business, Sport, or Information Technology.
- Following the Taster Day, students will be invited to attend a progression interview in March or April. This is an impartial and supportive meeting where students can discuss their plans for next year and explore all available pathways. This interview also forms part of the application process for Sixth Form. We are committed to supporting all students, whether they choose to remain with us, apply to college, or pursue an apprenticeship. Guidance and support with careers planning and applications will be available through our Careers Leader, Miss Vinten.

- New applicants will be invited to attend an interview in April or May to discuss subject choices, predicted grades, and future career interests. Parents will also have the opportunity to ask questions following the interview. Conditional offers will be issued after the interview process.
