The Chalfonts Community College

Success is an Attitude!
Staff Governors

Year 7 September 2023/24

We are delighted that you are considering choosing The Chalfonts Community College for your child and hope that this website has given you an accurate understanding of the school and its many strengths and priorities.

Whether you are considering applying for a place at the start of Year 7 (secondary transfer), at any point after this (inter-year admissions) or for the Sixth Form, we hope you will find all the information you need in the appropriate pages in this section.

We expect all students who attend The Chalfonts Community College to achieve their personal best at all times.

Sometimes learning is difficult and we remind students that they need to keep going and show resilience and perseverance in achieving their aspirational goals.  All the teachers and learning support assistants are here to help.

There are a wide range of clubs and activities on offer at The Chalfonts Community College and we expect that all students will take part in at least one additional activity.

Student leadership opportunities abound making an important contribution to our continuous improvement.  The student support system is excellent, each year having a Year Leader, a dedicated assistant Year Leader as well as a dedicated number of staff that support our students every day.

All students have a tutor who they stay with from Years 7 to 11 (unless of course there is a particular issue) and the Sixth Form has an experienced team of tutors who assist with university and work applications led by our very experienced Head of Sixth form, Mr Way.

Admissions are administered by Buckinghamshire County Council. Please complete the admission application form in Buckinghamshire's Admission Booklet issued by your child's primary school.
