School and college performance data for the 2022/2023 academic year should be used with caution:

  • In 2022/23, qualifications returned to pre-pandemic standards. Performance measures that are based on qualification results will reflect this, and cannot be directly compared to measures from 2021/2022.
  • There are ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected individual schools, colleges and pupils differently.

GCSE Examination Results

The Chalfonts Community College has continued to see growth in our GCSE grades. On Thursday, 24 August 2023, our Year 11 students celebrated another wonderful set of results. The Chalfonts Community College continues to strive to improve our academic, vocational and technical offerings and attainment, and we aim to ensure that all students are as well-prepared as possible for their GCSE Examinations. In 2023, we were proud to report that (according to DfE-released Performance Tables):

  • The percentage of students achieving a grade 9-7 in English was 14%; and at a standard pass (Level 4+), 78% was achieved.
  • The percentage of students achieving a grade 9-7 in Mathematics was 11%; and at a standard pass (Level 4+), 60% was achieved.
  • Students who achieved a grade of 4+ in English and Mathematics were 57%.

It is the breadth of success in our traditional academic, vocational or technical subjects that makes this such an inclusive school. We wish all the best to our students as they move to the next chapter of their lives'.

A Level Examination Results

The Chalfonts Community College overall APS score for 2023 was 33.32 which means the average grade for our Year 13 cohort across all their assessed options was a C grade. This means our value-added score was -0.68 across our Academic subject offerings. We must also celebrate that the results in our Applied subject offerings achieved an Average of 'Distinction'.

Our Sixth Form students continue to demonstrate what we strive to be at The Chalfonts Community College, a community-minded, conscientious, courteous and committed place at which we can learn and work.
