Staff Governors

We are extremely proud of the achievements of our students and congratulate them on their many successes.

GCSE 2017

The English results of 84% gaining A*-C equivalent grades (9-4) are not only above the national average for similar schools but for all schools, including selective schools. Similarly, the results for Mathematics are above the national average for similar schools with 70% achieving a pass or better. Overall, 67% of students achieved a pass or better in English and Mathematics.

Overall, 59% of our students achieved five or more good grades at GCSE, including English and Mathematics, with 19% achieving three or more A-A* grades. The results reinforce what Ofsted said in June - that we are a 'good and improving school.'

A2 2017

This year, 97% of students gained A*-E grades which is testament to our students hard work. Over 40% achieved A*-B grades and the average point score per student was up on last year. Students performed particularly well in Chemistry, Music, BTEC Sport, IT and Performing Arts.
