Year 7: September 2024/25
We are delighted that you are considering choosing The Chalfonts Community College for your child and hope that this website has given you an accurate understanding of the school and its many strengths and priorities.
Whether you are considering applying for a place at the start of Year 7 (secondary transfer), at any point after this (in-year admissions) or for the Sixth Form, we hope you will find all the information you need on the appropriate pages in this section.
We expect all students who attend The Chalfonts Community College to achieve their personal best at all times.
Learning is a journey, not a destination. There will be moments of striving and moments of challenge, and at The Chalfonts Community College, we encourage students to learn to be resilient and persevere in achieving their aspirational goals. All the teachers, learning support assistants and staff are here to help.
There are a wide range of clubs and activities on offer at The Chalfonts Community College. We expect all students to take part in at least one additional activity to immerse themselves in our school community and help them meet new people and discover new interests.
Student leadership opportunities abound, making an important contribution to our students’ personal development. Our student support system is excellent, with each year group having a Year Leader and a dedicated Pastoral Lead, as well as a number of other safeguarding, attendance, medical and pastoral staff that support our students every day.
All students have a tutor who they stay with from Years 7 to 11 and the Sixth Form has an experienced team of tutors who assist with university and work applications.
Admissions are administered by Buckinghamshire County Council. Therefore, to apply for a place at The Chalfonts Community College, please complete the admission application form in Buckinghamshire's Admission Booklet issued by your child's primary school.
